For the past 5 years, children and women in this village have endured the burden of walking 2km to collect water. Unfortunately this water isn’t even clean and safe for consumption!
Up hill close to their homes, a borehole only needed an investment of not more than $1,000, and a day’s work to be able to work again. Immediately, the villagers would have access to clean and safe water, and without having to walk long distances again!
More interestingly, with training, and follow up, this community can be empowered to own their water source and plan for it’s future repairs. As an organization, we make sure this is done.
