“No matter where you look, access to clean drinking water makes a difference in the lives of people,” said Wijesekera. “The needs are clear; the goals are clear. Women and children should not have to spend so much of their time for this basic human right.”
We are glad to be working on a project to improve access to safe and clean water for communities in Hoima, while at the same time aiming to eliminate the conflict people have been having with chimpanzees in the process of collecting water from forests.
2 community wells have been refurbished, while 2 others are being drilled.
Thanks to our partners BridgIt Water Foundation and Bulindi Chimpanzees .
